Arnold Buschena Obituary

BUSCHENA, Arnold J. Jr (Arnie), 90, of Clearwater, passed away May 6, 2011. He was born in Winthrop, Mass. and was a veteran of WWII, severing in the U.S. Army Air Forces. He graduated from the University of Maine with a B.S. degree. He came to St. Pete in 1951 and came to Clearwater in 2001. He worked for Florida Power Corp; retiring after 31 years as a Transmissions Project Engineer. He was a 50 year volunteer in the B.S.A., were he held the Wood Badge and Silver Beaver Award. Survived by 2 sons Arnold J. III, Jacksonville, Paul F., Irvington, KY and a step-son Franklin C. Bowman, Clearwater. He had six grand children and eight great grand children.

On behalf of the West Central Florida Council, Boy Scouts of America, please accept our condolences on the passing of Mr. Buschena. Scouting volunteers are very special people. They touch the lives of many young people and their families, leaving behind a personal legacy in each one. We honor his memory and the service that he provided to Scouting and the West Central Florida Council.
