Bernarda Arufe Obituary

ARUFE, Bernarda "Rosa" 93, of Tampa, passed away May 17, 2011 surrounded by her loving family. A native of San Juan y Martinez, Pinar del Rio, Cuba, and long time resident of Tampa. Rosa is survived by her loving family, son, Fernando (Annie) Arufe, Sr.; grand-children, Fernando (Jennifer) Arufe, Jr., and Adriana M. Rodriguez; great grandchildren, Nicola J. Arufe, Anthony Alvarado, Christian and Lucas Rodriguez; sister, Dora Ruiz; nephews, Armando (Pam) Ruiz, Elias (Mirta) Cura, Dr. Jose (Lorie) Cura, M.D., Miriam Cura, and Emilia Cardonell; and several loving great nieces and great nephews in Tampa and Cuba. The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Jaime Casellas and Dr. Jose Cura and their staffs, the staff at Casa Loreto ALF and LifePath Hospice Melech House for their special care and attention. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday afternoon, May 19, at 12:30 pm at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, 5225 N. Himes Ave.,with entombment to follow in Centro Espanol Memorial Park. Pallbearers include: Fernando Arufe, Sr., Fernando Arufe, Jr., Elias Cura, Dr. Jose Cura, Armando Ruiz, and Rene R. Otero, Jr.. Honorary Pallbearers include: Alejandro Gonzalez, and Lazaro Rodriguez.
