EHRLICH, Charles W. of St. Petersburg, died Sunday, June 20, 2010 at home. Born Nov. 4, 1944 in Istanbul, Turkey as his mother was fleeing Nazi occupied Europe, Charles immigrated to the United States with his family in 1952 from Munich, Germany. In 1974, Charles opened his office as a sole practitioner from which he represented clients from the Tampa Bay Area and the state of Florida for four decades in general civil law matters in state and federal courts. He was not only recognized nationally in Martindale Hubbell's register of preeminent lawyers with the highest rating given to an attorney, but also locally with the Pro Bono Award from the St. Petersburg Bar Association. Charles was an active member of the St. Petersburg community for 42 years. Jessica, I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your dad. He was an amazing man and I had such fond memories of him when I was a part of the Finocchi clan. You are lucky to have had such an inspiring role model for a father and I remember how he always showed how much he loved you! You continue to be in my thoughts and I wish you peace during this time of sadness. Shelly

My deepest sympathy to Charle's family. I had only a few interactions with Charles (my loss) however he was always helpful and kind to my Mother. My being career military I always look to integrity of a person first. Within moments of first meeting Charles he had my complete trust. I have never experienced meeting someone in his profession with the integrity, caring about people and still a no non-sense man. He always had time for those needy but not patience for greedy wining, cry baby. I am sure he truly missed by many that he help throughout his life without asking nothing in return. I respect his imprint on community and the life he lived. I am sure he have the the loyalty of many and God have a place for him!

With Respect and Condolence;

Richard Wilson

Was sorry to hear of this unexpected and untimely passing. Recall being seated at a table with Charles at 30th Class Reunion. Recall also his spirited declarations, voiced during the years it took us to move through the Dickinson stages of organized maturity.

Dearest Charlie: You were there for my son after his life altering accident in 1986 and you continued to ALWAYS be there for us whenever I wrote or called for anything. It was you that was that catalyst for getting Bobby into Canterbury or he would never had graduated high school. YOU changed our lives after that tragedy. YOU were always there for us. We used to swap tales of parenthood and growing pains. You were my friend, my good friend, and I miss you so much. Jessica, your daddy loved you to eternity and back honey. He was so very proud of you. Sandi, I wish there was some magic word I could say to heal your heart. Charlie loved you so much and he was so happy with you. Your love and memories will help some during this trying time. May God keep you comforted throughout this and in the months and years ahead. My deepest sympathy to you both and your entire family. Bye Charlie, thank you for making a difference.

It is with grave sadness that I write this. Charles was a very special person. Not only was he a wonderful and supportive brother-in-law to me, he was a great father to Jessica, son to Jeanette, big brother to my husband, Joe, uncle, companion to Sandi and friend to all. Charles, you will be sorely missed in all of our lives. We love you!
