I did not know Jack for a long time, but it took only a short time to find that he was a fine gentleman. Len Lapka

I relish the times that I had with my good friend, Jack. Though our friendship only spanned about 9 years it seemed like we had been friends forever. We were close in age, both Hoosiers and we both had a passion for photography and our Nikon cameras.
Jack was one of the most giving people that I have known..always willing to put down whatever he was doing to lend a hand or answer a question about photography or just about life. Jack's relationship with Lynda added so much to the friendship for both myself and my wife Lynn.
Jack, will be deeply missed. His memory will live on.

My deepest sympathy to Mr. O'Connell's family. I didn't get to know Mr. O'Connell personaly through club activities, but I hope a few comforting words might help during this sad time.

My husband, George, and I first met Jack as members of the Suncoast Camera Club. He and my husband realized they had the same birth dates March 14th with a few years between them as well as their Irish heritage.
We quickly became good friends and this brought another special person into our lives, Lynda Logan. At a gathering where each person was asked to share something about themselves, Jack glowed as he sat beside Lynda and said, "Lynda is the best thing that ever happened to me."
When one thinks of Jack one can't help but think of laughter, love, and an occasional hint of the Irish temperament. He loved his Irish heritage. Losing him as a dear friend is sad indeed, but our memories of him will always be fond ones.
