Martin Shapiro, age, 89, passed away peacefully at home, on Sunday, June 9th, surrounded by family. Loving husband of Bobby for 65 years, adored father of Andy & Sue, Richard, and Lee C; cherished grandfather of Ellen & Corbu Stathes, Lauren & Reuben Roybal, and Maggie Joe Shapiro; great grandfather of Gehrig Stathes and Zachary Roybal. Beloved Uncle to numerous nieces and nephews, proud veteran, and devoted friend. A mensch among mensches, he touched the lives of all he knew. In lieu of flowers, hug someone close. Pop would approve. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday , June 11, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Temple Beth El , 350 Roxbury Rd, Stamford CT . Burial will be held at the Beth El Cemetery.
