Lisa Sprouse Obituary
Lisa Chiaia Sprouse, 47, of Stamford passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family and friends on Thursday, January 28, 2016 at St. Camillus Health Care Center.
Lisa is survived by her devoted husband of 25 years Stewart Sprouse, her loving daughter Celia Sprouse, her loving parents Joseph and Maud Simon Chiaia, her sister Josie Fraioli and her husband Carlo, all of Stamford, as well as a niece Lianna Melzer and her husband Danny of Stamford and grand nieces Rylee and Madison Melzer.
A Celebration of Lisa's Life will be held on Friday, February 5, 2016 from 4:00-8:00 PM, with a Memorial Service to be celebrated at 5:00 PM at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford. Interment will be held privately.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Lisa's memory to The Carl & Dorothy Bennett cancer Center, 34 Shelburne Road, Stamford, CT 06820

I first met Lisa when my son, Taylor, went to a Westhill Prom with his friend Celia some years ago. I knew instantly how special Lisa...and Celia...are. Only later would I realize the seemingly unending STRENGTH that BOTH MOTHER AND DAUGHTER have in the face of Celia's accident and Lisa's cancer and recurrence. I offered my support and friendship to Lisa through the years but I always felt it was a small, inadequate offering compared with her remarkable strength and grace.
