Paul (Mr. Peknik) was my science teacher at Dolan. After I became a teacher I attended many classes that Paul taught. He often visited my classroom and was an inspiration to me. My condolences to his family.

I was a student at Dolan Junior High in the late 1950s. I remember Mr. Peknik standing in the hallways, directing traffic and being a real character. Sadly, he was never my science teacher but I do remember him fondly.

The Manhattan College alumni community shares the grief, and is now praying for our teacher and the family at this time. Teachers are recognized on the theory "if it's important to some to mention in an obit, then we can spare a few prayers". Perhaps, the time at MC was both formative and important to our comrade while he taught there forming us. The Alumni Office has been informed. As well as the Jasper Jottings community that I personally can reach. We are all a little poorer now. "No man is an island, entire of itself … any man’s death diminishes me". We are sorry for your loss.
