Myrtle Hines Obituary
Myrtle P. Hines, 85, passed away on March 2, 2015. She was born on February 28, 1930 in Kingston, Jamaica, daughter of the late Oscar Lewison and Florence Estella Irvin. She was predeceased by her husband Philbert Hines. In later years she was married to the late Wilbert Jones. Myrtle was employed with Pitney Bowes Inc. until retirement. Her memory will be cherished by two sons; Eric Hines (Patricia) and Orville Hines ( Pauline), two daughter in laws; Debbie Hines and Stacey Dennis, her stepdaughter; Merlene Simmons and a host of grandchildren, great – grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Her son Carl Hines and grandson Jamal Hines predeceased Myrtle.
Visitation will take place on Tuesday, March 10, 2015 from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM followed by a service of celebration at 11:00 AM at Wilson Memorial COGIC, 164 Richmond Hill Ave, Stamford, CT., Bishop Charles Brewer, Jr. Senior Pastor. Rev. Dr. Tommie Jackson will officiate. Interment will be private. Services entrusted to Downer Funeral Home.
