Pierce, Derek Hunter
Age 21, of Gillett, PA passed away on Sat. May 20, 2017 as the result of an automobile accident. Born on Apr. 25, 1996 in Elmira, Derek was the cherished son of Linda Pierce, Gillett, PA; brother to Amanda Morse, husband Alexander Morse; and is survived by his maternal Grandparents John and Shirley Divel, his beloved cousin Katie Parks-Divel, his aunts and uncles, Eddie Divel, Linette and Steve Wintermute, Sue and Don Price, Johnny Divel, Dale and Sharon Roy, and many cousins. Derek was a graduate of Troy High School Class of 2014 He was pursuing a degree in criminal justice from Mansfield University. An outdoorsman, Derek enjoyed hunting and fishing. A private burial will be held at Gillett Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a Gofundme page has been set up in honor of Derek and we encourage those that loved Derek to spend a moment outside in nature to think of him.

I only got to know Derek last year when he joined our 'family' @ Hesselson's. He was a joy to work with, had a terrific attitude and would do anything you asked of him. I was happy to see him back this year and was looking forward to being around such a positive person. You will be missed very much. My heart and prayers go out to his family.
