Marshall Jenkins Obituary

Marshall H. Jenkins Marshall H. Jenkins died February 22, 2011 at Culpeper Regional Hospital. He was the husband of the late Dorothy R. Jenkins. He was born to the late Thomas E. and Sarah Alice Jenkins of Rappahannock County, Virginia.

After retirement from Virginia Department of Transportation, he worked with his son at J & J Real Estate Ltd and started M & M Services with his grandson, Marshall E. Jenkins. For more than 25 years he worked at Country Home Antiques, the family antiques business where his customers became his extended family. He was an avid collector of various antiques including pottery and recently a part of his collection was published in Alexandria, Virginia Pottery 1792-1876. He has been a member of Culpeper United Methodist Church for more than fifty years.

Survivors include his son, John H. Jenkins and his wife Rosemary, his SPECIAL grandchildren, Ann Marie Anderson and her husband, Brett and Marshall E. Jenkins and his wife Kacey, four great grandsons, John William Anderson, Erich Robert Jenkins, Benjamin Marshall Anderson and Nicholas Joseph Anderson, his special niece, Linda Dodson and nephews Ronald, Ricky and Scott Jenkins.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Florene Jenkins and Carolyn Jenkins.

The family will receive friends and family one hour prior to the service.

A funeral will be held Friday, February 25, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel with Dr. Debbie Frye, officiating.

Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery.

Pallbearers, Daniel Dodson, Tom Earles, William Hale, Joey Jenkins, Ricky Jenkins and Jack Nicholas.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to honor his birthday on February 26th to be made to World Vision, Our Savior Lutheran Church, 6194 Dumfries Road, Warrenton, VA 20187.

John, Rosemary and family, our deepest sympathy goes out to you all. Mr Jenkins was a dear man. Billy and I had many a good time with Mr and Mrs Jenkins. We miss them both and our get togethers. Take care Bonnie & Billy
