Etta Jo Ritter Chabot Etta Jo Ritter Chabot, age 81, passed away peacefully on April 15, 2011 surrounded by loved ones at her side; her sister Rusty, her daughters and her grandson, Rick. She was born on July 11, 1929 in Memphis, Tennessee.

She leaves behind two sisters, Eugenia "Rusty" Bluntzer and Shirley Gaffney; one brother, Johnny Ritter; four children, Mary Krisel (Stu), Donna Chabot, Pat Chabot (Galen) and Anita McFall (Hassell); seven grandchildren, Rick Brown (Ana), Mike Krisel (Mindy), Laura Esquivel (Angel), Lindsey Ashe (Fergal), Leif Eric Paulson, Leo A. Chabot III, and Sarah Clingman (Russ): eight great-grandchildren, Abby Brown, Izzy Brown, Josiah Esquivel, Julian Esquivel, Callie Krisel, Anthony Pullen, Mikayla Pullen, and Stephen Clingman; sisters-in-law Alice Walther and Dottie Radle, "adopted" daughters, nieces, nephews, and numerous friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, James Elmer Ritter and Willie May Hanna Ritter; her husband, Leo A. Chabot Sr.; her son, Leo A. Chabot Jr.; her grandson, Jeff Gividen; her sisters, Catherine England and Ellie Mae Hooke; and her brother Ronnie Ritter.

Etta retired after working as a bartender at the Officer's Club at Vint Hill Farms Station; she was loved and respected by her customers. Jo had a love for animals, especially small dogs.

Funeral services will be held in the chapel of Clore-English Funeral Home, Wednesday, April 20, 2011 at 11 a.m. with Rev. James Mack conducting the service. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Clore-English Funeral Home, Tuesday, April 19, 2011 from 6 until 8 p.m.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Brandy Station Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary, P.O. Box 57, Brandy Station, VA 22712. Condolences may be given at cloreenglish.com. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Clore-English Funeral Home, 11190 James Monroe Highway,

Culpeper, VA 22701.
