I am so shocked and saddened to hear of Dr. Wallace's passing. Even though I only saw her once a year, I treasured my visits to her and getting annual updates on her daughter, who she treasured and was so proud of. When I moved to Leesburg from Warrenton, Dr. Wallace remained my eye doctor because I trusted her implicitly to do right by my eyes. My heart goes out to her family and friends. She was a dear, sweet woman and an exceptional eye doctor.

I just called the office to make an appointment and was so shocked and saddened to hear of her passing. Dr. Wallace was such a caring person my husband and I felt such affection for her. Our prayers and sympathy go to her family. John and Christine Gaines

I was just checking on Andrea's office hours and I am shocked to learn that she passed away on December 26th 2010. My wife, four daughters and I have been privileged to benefit from Andrea's excellent Optometric skills over the past twenty years. Although we moved from Warrenton to Falls Church ten years ago we continued with Andrea because we knew there was no one else we wanted to go to. She was a wonderful human being with an uplifting spirit, always upbeat and caring.
May God bless her and provide strength and support for her grieving family.

We just learned of Andrea's passing this evening and we were shocked and saddened to hear that such a sweet, caring woman, so full of life, is gone. We met Andrea when she attended the Lutheran Church on 605, and then saw her for years at her office. She was so down-to-earth and always smiling. We will truly miss her, and our thoughts and prayers are with her family.

As others have mentioned, Andrea was a person full of life. I will always remember her laugh and her smile. It was great to have her as a classmate and friend at Seton Hill. I am not surprised that she added joy and positive energy to what she loved.

My sons, Mikey, Matthew, and I met Andrea when I came back to Piedmont Symphony in '05. She was a very kind person with a very gentle soul. We really loved getting to know her. We were quite saddened and just blown away to hear of her passing. She was an angel on earth and will be very much missed by the Mullen/Crabill Family.

I knew Andrea when I was a teen. So many years later, it was still such a joy to see her every week and play music with her. Andrea was so beautiful and loving to everyone around her. She was always in good spirits, no matter what! You are greatly missed, dear friend.

Andrea exuded life and laughter to all around her. I had the honor of getting to work with her closely over the last several years with the Piedmont Symphony, and feel blessed to have had her in my life. She is an irreplaceable soul, and is most surely in the safe and loving hands of God. We love and miss you Andrea.

I knew Andrea as a classmate at the New England College of Optometry and hadn't seen her in years, but I remember distinctly the very positive effect she had on me and on all who had the privilege to know her. My fondest memories include her joyfully singing in a school rock band and doing a fantastic job of it. She always made me laugh with her laugh and wit. She was so very bright and so very willing to help other students with their studies. I'm not surprised that she has been described as an outstanding optometrist and an outstanding person. I was very saddened to hear yesterday of her passing and may God bless her family, friends, and patients.

I knew Andrea many years ago, when we were both at Seton Hill College (now University). She was so bright, and so talented. She wrote a song for the guitar, the "Daddy" song, that I forever remembered, and will always remember. Her light will live long, live bright.

Andrea - You leave a huge void in our St. Stephen's family. You played the violin beautifully, and added so much to our church. Mostly I will miss your big smile and bubbly personality. Our deepest sympathies to Wally and Becky. May the memories of this special woman and the love of friends bring them some comfort.
