Kathryn Corbin Obituary
Kathryn H. Corbin Kathryn Holmes Corbin, 73 of Amissville, VA died on Dec. 26, 2010 at her home.
She was born on April 20, 1937 in Amissville a daughter of the late Walter and Mattie Hitt Holmes. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband- James Heflin.
Kathryn worked as a secretary for Augusta Lumber in Amissville and was a lifelong member of the Amissville United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her husband- Virgil Corbin; her daughter and her husband- Wanda and Kyle M. "Morris" Peters of Rixeyville; four stepchildren- Michael and Donald Corbin of Culpeper, Rhonda Corbin of Charlottesville and Jason Corbin of St. Petersburg Beach, FL; her sister- Christine Judd, Amissville; three grandchildren- K. M. "Kyle" Peters, IV and Kristen Peters both of Rixeyville and Stacey Clapp of Raleigh, NC.
The family will receive friends from 7-9 PM Wednesday at Moser Funeral Home, Warrenton, VA. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Dec. 30 at 11:00 AM at Amissville United Methodist Church. Interment in the church cemetery.
Flowers are welcome or memorial contributions may be made to the Amissville United Methodist Church, PO Box 108, Amissville, VA 20106.

Virgil and family. I was saddened to hear of Kathryns passing. She was a very dear friend. Even tho I knew her only a short period I felt as I had known her my whole life. Her smile and soft giggle made her mamories more precious to me. I will cherish the time we spent together for the rest of my life. May God comfort and strengthen you and the family in your time of loss, and wrap His arms of comfort around you all. Our love to you all.
