Constance Elaine Wiersberg Constance Elaine Wiersberg, age 68, of Culpeper died Thursday, September 30, 2010 at her residence. She was born May 25, 1942 in South Bend, Ind. to the late Matthew and Nada Wolf Zabik.

Connie was a member of Precious Blood Catholic Church. She was a master gardener and naturalist and was an active volunteer in the community having achieved Citizen of the Year in Loudoun County. She will be remembered as a loving mother and friend to all.

She is survived by her husband, Bob Wiersberg; her children, Gwen Behan and her husband, Barry of Haymarket, Renee Nolan and her husband, John of Markham, Lara Brooks and her husband, John of Richmond and Rob Wiersberg and his wife, Meribeth of Arlington and two brothers, Matt Zabik and his wife, Mary Ellen of Norwood, Mich. and Roger Zabik and his wife, Liz of Lawton, Mich.

Additional survivors include nine grandchildren, Rachel Barnes and her husband, Mike of Williamsburg, Bryan Behan and Kevin Behan, both of Haymarket, Sam Nolan and Abe Nolan, both of Markham, Hanna Brooks and Matthias Brooks, both of Richmond, Jake Wiersberg and Alex Wiersberg, both of Arlington, and one great grandchild, Reagan Barnes.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 3, 2010 from 3 to 5 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, Va.

A mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, October 4, 2010 at 10 a.m. at Precious Blood Catholic Church, 114 E. Edmondson St., Culpeper, Va. Father Leo Zonneveld officiating.

Interment will follow in St. Peter's Catholic Church Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made in her name to Hospice of the Rapidan, P.O. Box 1715, Culpeper, VA 22701. An online guestbook and tribute wall is available at www.foundandsons.com

During the short time I knew Connie with the 4-County Master Gardeners and Old Rag Master Naturalists, she had a very positive influence on me. She was a wonderful person who will be sorely missed and kept in our warm memories.
