Thomas Kaiser Cooper Thomas Kaiser Cooper, age 57, of Rochelle, Madison County, Virginia, died on August 12, 2011 at the Hospice House of Charlottesville. He was born May 31, 1954 to Howard A. Cooper and Mabel E. (Hall) Cooper. He was preceded in death by both parents and his brother, Roy A. Cooper.

Thomas was employed by Southern States for almost 25 years, working both for the Leesburg and Culpeper Petroleum Cooperatives. He was most recently employed by Blue Ridge Growers in Stevensburg as a maintenance worker. He was also a past Rescue Captain and volunteer at Middleburg Fire and Rescue.

He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Dawn D. Cooper; three daughters, Elizabeth G. Cooper and her husband, Kyle Glascock of Culpeper, Erica N. Cooper of Orange, and Elena A. Cooper of Rochelle; nine grandchildren, Kattie Ferrebee, Coleman Glascock, Gavin Cooper, Jared Brundage, Kyler Peters, Johnathan Cooper, Jackson Glascock, Jozie Long and Thomas Brody Cooper; a sister, Mildred L. Hively and her husband, Jerry, of Morrisville; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, August 22, 2011, at the Horizon Funeral Home Chapel, 750 Old Brandy Road, Culpeper, Va. by Pastor Brian Spruill of Alliance Community Fellowship. Interment will be at the Ivy Hill Cemetery, Upperville, Va. immediately following the service.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, August 21, 2011 at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to the family to help with final expenses. Donations can be sent to Elizabeth Cooper at 2219 Cottonwood Lane, Culpeper, VA 22701. Any donated funds remaining after payment of final expenses will be donated to Hospice House of Charlottesville. Arrangements by Horizon Funeral Home of Culpeper.
