Eleanor Lemmon Obituary
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 31, at the Colyer Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Scott Mathis officiating. Cremation has taken place.
Memorials may be made to Prairie Haven Hospice.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Colyer Funeral Home and friends may send condolences to the family at www.colyerfuneralhome.com.
Eleanor was born June 13, 1945 in Benkleman, Neb. the daughter of Albert Edward and Pearl Mae (Danner) Henkel. Her family moved to several locations in Nebraska and she received her education in Crawford. Eleanor married Robert Lemmon March 9, 1965 in Hot Springs, S.D. The couple then lived in Chadron and Lakeside, Neb. They later moved to Torrington where they farmed for the past 36 years.
Eleanor enjoyed baking and cooking and she had to feed everyone. She liked going to her grandchildren's activities and spending time with family and friends.
Survivors include her husband, Robert Lemmon; daughter, Lisa (Ben) Hillyer of Alliance; son, Don (Cindy) Lemmon of Torrington; daughters, Bobbi (Scot) Stengel of Scottsbluff, Karla (Bryce) Schlagel of Torrington, Celsi Lemmon of Torrington; mother, Pearl Kassahn of Mitchell; sisters, Joan (Lee) Rhodes of Sterling, Colo., Christena Dykes of Morrill; brother, Albert (Janice) Henkel of Shawnee, Kan.; grandchildren, Brytny Hageman, Lynette Hillyer, Lindsey Lemon, Bryan Lemmon, Jared Lemmon; great grandchild, Kalea Hageman and a grand dog named Marley.
Preceding Eleanor in death was her father and many aunts and uncles.
