Nancy Tando Obituary
Betty was born on Dec. 26, 1922, in Boulder, Colo. and was a long time resident of Scottsbluff. Her life-long husband, Joe, preceded her in death in 2007.
Survivors include her son, Steve (Kathy) Tando; daughter, Nancy Hanson and grandchildren, Jason Lopez and Alicia (B. J.) Kurzenberger and their children, Blake and Mackenzie.
Memorials have been established at the First Presbyterian Church in Scottsbluff and Prairie Haven Hospice.
Betty's one request for her obituary was to have this poem, she wrote, included.
Going Home
One by one we are called home,
No longer on this earth to roam.
There we'll find a perfect peace,
Where all lifes woes will ever cease.
To dear ones I have left behind,
May they be filled with peace of mind,
Just knowing that I've reached my goal,
And now God's watching o'er my soul.
By my Heavenly Father, I've been so blessed,
And with Him I'll find eternal rest.
To those I love and to God, are true,
Christ has prepared a place for you.
So be of good cheer and please don't cry,
For we will meet again, on high.
