Helen A. Getz Created an ethical household and had faith in God and pride in her Polish heritage, 90 Helen A. Getz (nee Mucha), 90, of Newark, Del., formerly of Irvington, N.J. passed away peacefully on Feb. 7, 2015. The family will gather to greet friends from 9 to 10 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 13, at the Parkway Wozniak Memorial Home, 211 Westfield Ave, Clark, N.J. A brief Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Irvington, N.J., on Friday at 11 a.m., followed by private interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover, N.J. She found much joy in her children and grandchildren. She graduated from Irvington High School and worked for the Prudential Insurance in Newark, N.J. before marrying her U.S. Navy World War II serviceman, Edward. Helen enjoyed listening to her radio, reading novels, finding the beauty of Mother Nature, and having long conversations with her sister. She was very proud of her Polish heritage, and her strong faith in God helped her through the deaths of her parents, daughters, and husband. Helen was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 66 years, Edward J. Getz Sr.; parents, John and Mary Mucha, and daughters, Christine Sienicki and Patricia Getz-Kasianchuk. She is survived by her sister, Janine Nagle of West Lebanon, Vt.; her sons, Edward (Jean) Getz Jr. of Mendota Heights, Minn., and Stephen (Stephanie) of Hockessin, Del,; son-in law, Patrick Kasianchuk of Waltham, Mass.; her grandchildren, Kyle, Kelsey Kackman (Preston), Derek (Lauren),Tyler, Michael and Adam, and great-grandson, Quinn.
