Rev. George C. Derner, 82, passed away peacefully on Dec. 2, 2012. Visitation is at the Leonardis Memorial Home, 210 Ridgedale Ave., Florham Park, on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral is on Saturday, assembling at 8:45 a.m., followed by a service at Holy Family Church in Florham Park at 9:45 a.m. To write a condolence, visit www.LeonardisMemorialHome.com. Rev. Derner was a longtime resident of Florham Park, N.J., where he was the pastor at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church for 25 years. The beloved husband of 56 years to the late Carla, he was the devoted father of Carl Derner, his wife, Joy; Susan Derner Morrissey, and Glen Derner and his wife, Lisa; loving grandfather of Nichole, Jason, Jack, Sean, Chelsea and Alex; cherished great-grandfather of Zachary and dear brother of Robert Derner.
