Mary Lowe Obituary

Mary D. Lowe, 86, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, at home on Friday, May 9, 2014.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 31, 2014, at 2 p.m. at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Chatham, N.J. 07928.
Born in Woodstock, Va., on Oct. 17, 1927, Mary was the daughter of Douglas and Lois Smoot Dymock. She lived in Chatham Borough, N.J., for almost 60 years.
Mary was employed by Bloomingdale's, Short Hills, N.J., for nearly 20 years. She was a member of the Altar Guild at St. Paul's Episcopal Church and belonged to the Chatham Garden Club. She was a past member of the Chatham Fish and Game Club.
She loved traveling to her Southern roots in the Shenandoah Valley. Mary was an avid reader and an excellent seamstress, great cook, and baker. Her love of family, faith in God, creative style and grace, made her the great Southern lady she was. Her calm demeanor was embraced by all.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Reginald J. Lowe; her brother, James G. Dymock, and her son, Reginald J. Lowe Jr. She is survived by her daughter, Meredith, and her husband, Gerald Fox; her sons, Matthew and his wife, Ann; Gregory and his wife, Laurie; Randolph and his wife, Terri; Darren and his wife, Patty, and Christopher and his wife, Michelle; 18 grandchildren and two great-grandsons.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Chatham Emergency Squad, 45 Spring St., Chatham, N.J. 07928 or the charity of your choice.

Learned yesterday from Jerry Fox of Mary's passing. I'm shocked and saddened by the news.
A long standing friend of many years and a true lady of the highest order. I know she will be missed by many but will finally be with Reg and smiling down on the rest of us.

Aloha! I have many happy memories since I grew up across the street from the Lowe's and was one of Jay's best friends. My heart goes out to the Lowe family. I can tell you that I see Mary and Reg dancing in Heaven with hugh smiles on both of their faces.
