Clarence Robert "Bob" Holt III

Clarence Robert (Bob) Holt III, 69, formerly of Montville, N.J., passed away on Nov. 15, 2011, in Bonita Springs, Fla. A memorial service will be held in Bob's honor on Saturday, Dec. 17, 2011, at 2 p.m. at the Keri Funeral Home, 125 Main St., Lincoln Park, N.J. 07035, (973)694-1582. Bob was born on Jan. 23, 1942, in Springfield, Mass., the son of the late Clarence Robert Holt Jr. and Pauline Marie Holt (nee Cardin). Bob graduated from Cathedral High School in 1959, attended Fairfield University and transferred to American International College, graduating with a bachelor's in business administration in 1963. Bob was recruited by General Electric into one of most coveted management training programs in the country at the time and moved to New York, N.Y. Deciding that he wanted to pursue his entrepreneurial passions, he and a partner started a financial products business specializing in oil, gas and real estate tax-advantaged products. Bob is survived by his second wife of 17 years, Pam Houston, with whom he had recently moved to Bonita Springs, Fla., in hopes that the warmer climate would be beneficial to his health. He is also survived by his sons, Sean Holt of Missoula, Mont., and Ryan (Tara) Holt of St. Johnsbury, Vt.; daughter, Paige Holt of San Fransico, Calif.; stepsons, Temple Houston of Montville, N.J., and Seth (Amy) Houston of Lansdale, Pa.; three grandchildren and seven step-grandchildren. Bob is also survived by his brothers, Dennis A. Holt of Naples, Fla., and Timothy J. Holt of Montville, N.J.; sister, Kathleen Marie Holt Halter of Ellicott City, Md., and many loving nieces and nephews.
