Robert Wonderly Obituary
Robert D. Wonderly, 71 of Burgaw passed away Wednesday, September 8, 2010.
He is preceded in death by his parents Orton and Mary Wonderly.
Bob is survived by his wife of 42 years Venise Wonderly, daughter Sofie Hosford and husband Geoffrey, grandchildren Hope and Hadley Hosford, sisters Theresa Devereaux and Genevieve Kolb and brother James Wonderly.
Bob was a woodworker who enjoyed making fine bowls and boxes.
A memorial service will be 1:00 PM, Sunday, October 17, 2010, at Wilmington Burial and Cremation Service.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105

Bob Wonderly was an incredible neighbor growing up..and like a second Dad. Have so many wonderful memories of traveling with Sofie and her family. Bob was such a blessing to know and my life is richer for him being a part of it. Love and blessings to all of his family.

Bob Wonderly was a good accountant who would help anyone he could. Over the years, he never failed to say thank you to those who helped him. He was an all around good person and a very good friend. I will miss him terribly.

Bob was our neighbor and we will miss him. Bob always had a smile and kind words no matter how he felt.

News of Bob's passing was a real shock to our family. Bob was my brother-in-law, married to my sister Venise. He was a wonderful part of the family. His dedication to helping my sister through her dementia and eventual alzheimer problems was monumental. We had great times together when we managed to visit each other and he will be sorely missed. Our prayers are with Sofie and her family and also for Venise who will have a new life to adjust to now.
