Karen, I absolutely loved Bubba with the love of a brother, a friend I could totally trust. I knew when I met him I would have a friend for life. He was a man's man. and someone most all men want to emulate in character and to be thought of by others in the same light. He had what I call a "Richard Petty Spirit", a good old boy slap to the bone. He loved you, Karen, so much. I can still remember the first time he spoke of you and could not wait for me to meet you. When Bubba cared for something or someone, he was "all in", he did not half-step anything, especially his love and friendship. I still feel his spirit. He will always live in my heart. And those who live in hearts they leave behind, never die. I hope to be able to come down soon, Karen, my friend. I could go on and on about my feelings for this man and how great a person he was. I love him and will miss him deeply. Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers, Love you, John Barry

Though I never knew Bubba, I knew how much he loved my dear friend, Karen. I have never seen her as happy as she was with Bubba, and for that I am eternally grateful. My condolences to all of his family and especially to Karen. May Bubba's memory keep you smiling for a lifetime.

Karen, we sooooo wish we could be there to hold you and comfort you during this time. I know you understand, but still....
Bubba was a very special man. He was kind and gentle, but oh so strong! And he loved you passionately and treated you like a queen. For that, we will always be grateful. I know you will miss him every single day, but still I am so glad that you had this time with Bubba to love him and to be loved by him. And I know now that he and your Dad are having a time together fishing in Heavenly waters.
We love you. And we love Bubba. Always will.

The loss of a love one is so hard to face,
you just want to hide,
go some where and escape!
But death is something,
we all must go through,
I know it's hard,
when it's someone you loved and knew.
Just know now,
he is in a better place,
no more hurt or pain shall he face.
It seems unfair and yes this is true,
but he is in Heaven now
watching over you!
God has called him home to rest!!
And he's being well taken care of
Because God knows best!

I never met Bubba but I learned what kind of a brave wonderful man he was through Karen Mayo on face book. He fought a good fight and when he lost his battle I felt so bad for the family as he seemed to be the glue that held everything together. He is in Heaven fishing in God's pond WOW can you imagine that has to be an awesome sight.
God bless and be with this family as they go through the next few weeks and the pain they are suffering with.

I did not get to meet Bubba in person, but Karen has told us so much about him that we felt we had. So very sorry his life was cut so short and I know he will be greatly missed.
