Carolyn Milliken Obituary
MILLIKEN
Carolyn Newber Milliken of Winnabow, NC, died Tuesday April 13, 2010, at Silver Stream Health and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born September 12, 1923, in New Hanover County NC, daughter of the late Max Newber and Cora Williamson Newber and was preceded in death by her husband Herbert F. Milliken Sr.
Mrs. Milliken was a member of College Acres Baptist Church and faithful teacher of the Faith Bible Class for over thirty years.
Surviving are her sons Hebert F. Milliken Jr. and wife Myrtle, Delma Milliken and wife Delores, Michael Milliken and wife Nancy, Pat Milliken and wife Pat; grandchildren, Tonya, Dion, Heather, Wendy, Michael, Laura, Molly, Tonya and Randy, thirteen great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren, brother, Max Newber and wife Grace and a sister-in-law Becky Newber.
A funeral service will be held 1pm Friday April 16, 2010, at College Acres Baptist Church by Rev. Andy Ickes. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 7pm to 8pm Thursday April 15, 2010, at Andrews Mortuary Market Street Chapel.
Pallbearers will be Dion Milliken, Arden Horrell, Sr., Mike Ayers, Joshua Ayers, Jeremiah King and Carr Horrell. Honorary pallbearers will be Ray Richardson, Blake Milliken, Arden Horrell, Jr. and Cody Horrell.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to College Acres Baptist Church Annie Armstrong Offering.

Mom we will miss you. Selfishly we wanted you to stay with us forever. Unselfishly we did not want you to suffer. We know in our hearts you are now with Daddy. Thank you for loving us. Thank you for all you taught us. We so love you. Your memory will always stay with us.

God of mercy, look kindly on Your servant Carolyn Newber Milliken who has set down the burden of her years. As she served You faithfully throughout her life, may You give her the fullness of Your peace and joy. We give thanks for the long life of Carolyn, now caught up in Your eternal love.
