Janet Caudill Obituary

JANET TAYLOR CAUDILL

Janet Taylor Caudill, 72 of Winding River in Brunswick County passed away on Saturday, April 30, 2011 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center.

Janet was born on February 8, 1939 in Atlanta, GA to the late Dennis Taylor and Ruby Edwards Taylor. Mrs. Caudill was an active member of the Presbyterian Church in Southport, North Carolina where she was a founding member of the church Cancer Support Committee and was also active in the Congregational Care Committee of the church.

Surviving are her husband of 50 years, David L. Caudill, also of Winding River; a son, David Steven Caudill of Brookfield, CT; a daughter, Catherine van der Bol of the Camaan Islands BWI and a granddaughter Chloe van der Bol. Also surviving is her sister Nancy Elswick wife of Harold Elswick of St. Albans, WV; nephew Bruce Elswick, niece Rebecca Shaffer; and their children Kristen and Emily Elswick; and Zachary and Nicole Shaffer.

A memorial service to celebrate Janet's life is scheduled at the Southport Presbyterian Church on Friday May 6, 2011 at 1:00 pm with Reverend Ann Jahnes officiating. The service will be followed by an internment of her remains in the Church Memorial Garden.

It is the request of the family that in lieu of flowers donations be made to Lower Cape Fear Hospice & Life Care Center, 1414 Physicians Drive, Wilmington, NC 28401.
