CAROL LEE KRAFT ATEYEH Our beloved mother and grandmother ("Nanny"), Carol Lee Kraft Ateyeh, passed away peacefully at the age of 67 on December 29, 2014 at the Lower Cape Fear Hospice and Life Care Center in Wilmington, NC. She was the daughter of the late William E. Kraft and Virginia Parker Kraft, born on January 6, 1947 in Wilmington, NC. She attended New Hanover High School in Wilmington and was a member of the class of 1965. She also attended Chamblee High School in Atlanta, Georgia. She worked various jobs over the years, mostly in sales. She was an avid gardener and worked as a florist for many years. She received several awards for her creative talents as a floral designer. Carol was artistic and had an eye for beauty. She was a nature enthusiast and enjoyed photography. In her later years, she was an active member of the White Oak Apartment community and was known for her decorating talents. Her life centered around her children and grandchildren. Carol was preceded in death by her loving husband, Adnan Ateyeh. Survivors include her children, Angela Pifer and Ramzi Ateyeh, grandchildren Cameron Hart, Robert Ateyeh, and Nova Gedney, her siblings, Bonny Kelly and Kenneth Kraft, brother in law, Randall Kelly and many nieces and nephews. A celebration of Carol's life will be held at White Oak chapel at 7235 Darden Road, Wilmington, NC on Friday, January 9, 2015 at 2:00 PM. The family will receive visitors in the White Oak activity room after the ceremony. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lower Cape Fear Hospice Foundation, 1414 Physicians Dr., Wilmington, NC 28401.
