Dear Susan,

Please accept my sincere condolences on your father's passing from this life. I recall fondly meeting him in 1969 or 1970. There was a show on TV in the living of their Glenview home and an estimate of the remaining life span of the sun was given. Your dad made the comment, "That keeps me up at night worrying!" I thought that was quite funny and have not forgotten it after all of these years. My mother died about 5 years ago and I did not know I could experience such pain. The good news is that now, although I miss her, I do not feel the grief and I can appreciate all of the good memories. I hope that you have many loved ones to support you during your grief and that the good memories will soon prevail.

My best, Bernard
