Sandy is one of the nices people I have ever met. I met her at AFC and her and I would be next to each other on the tread mill many times. I enjoyed talking to her. She was the kind of person you could speak to for just a few minutes and feel like you've known her for a long time. For the brief time I knew her she really touched my heart. She was a very special person. Please find strength in knowing she will be missed and forever touched by many people.

Dear Zach and family,
We are so sorry for the loss of your mom - such a beautiful lady. Zach is in the same grade as our son, Spencer. I remember several years ago I had the pleasure of meeting Sandy when we went on a class field trip. I enjoyed her company and getting to know her while we shared the bus ride. What a nice nice lady!!! There are prayers in our hearts for you all at this very sad and difficult time. God Bless you all.

There is nothing that can be said to diminish the pain felt by a family after a tragic loss such as this. I know, however, that Sandy will forever be in many people's hearts, including my own, and never be forgotten. Please accept my deepest and sincerest condolences.

I thought of Sandy and all the Smidas all the time. This is a great loss to everyone. My family has you in our prayers. I think of all the good times we got to have growing up in Greenwood Shores. I miss living closer and being around the family, Mrs. Smida, Sandy, Gail, Val, and Krissy were family to me. They helped me through all my tough years. I remember Sandy as being the patient, loving person everyone would like in their life. I was lucky she had been in mine, we will miss her.

"Your family is in our thoughts and prayers. I grew up in Greenwood Shores with Sandy. I now live in Hamburg and would run into Sandy at school functions. She always had a smile on her face and a kind word to say. She will be greatly missed."
