Lyle, Loni, Lynn and Family,
I was just told about Marlys' death in October and am so saddened and shocked.

The past few days I had been thinking of calling the two of you and touching base.

Then Michele called this evening and told me she just heard Marlys had passed away.

We were moving at the time and apparently missed the obituary.

To have witnessed your amazing marriage, raising your beautiful daughter and grandchild, and the many years of friendship we shared will forever be cherished.

Marlys was there when Michele had her first figure skating lesson at age 4.

Lyle, you and Marlys were such a strength and support when Lloyd passed away.

Please call me so we can talk.

Our family sends our love, prayers, and thoughts,

Loni and family,
What a great loss to your family and all of us who knew Marlys. Your mom was such a wonderful advocate for skating in the local, national and world communities that she will be greatly missed. Her spirit was one of a kind. I always looked for her at the competitions when my girls were going through, and now when my granddaugher is skating. She taught me so much about skating. I wish all of you the very best in your journey in the coming days and weeks.
With fondness,

Dear Lyle,
It is with great sadness to learn that Marlys has died. She touched so many lives and set such an example of positive kindness and incredible talents. I will never forget how young Loni & Lyni came to the door and welcomed me as a new neighbor back in Bloomington in 1969! They were so sweet, happy and friendly, I knew their mother must be wonderful. Getting to know the Larson family was a real gift.
I remember when figure skating first became a part of your lives, and I marveled at the energy and enthusiasm you and Marlys had with your very busy and full lives. We always looked forward to the wonderful Christmas letters Marlys sent out each year that kept us informed of your family through the years.
Our sincere sympathy to your entire family. We are so very sorry to hear of your deep sadness and send our love.

Lyle and family,
So saddened to hear of the sudden death of Marlys. She was such an active and vibrant woman with so many interests. Will miss seeing her at dog school. I was always amazed at her ability to train the St. Bernards-such a big breed for a slender woman. She did it with ease! I will miss her. My thoughts and prayers are with your family at this very difficult time.

I was so very sorry to hear of Marlys' passing. I just saw her two weeks at at the Madison Open. Marlys was one of the nicest people I have met in USFS. I first met her in 2002 when she was an official at EGL Regionals. She was always upbeat and encouraging. I loved hearing the updates on her very talented granddaughter Kendra who she was so proud of. My deepest sympathies to the Larson family.
