Karen Lind

Lind, Karen of Golden Valley, died on Tuesday, July 30, 2013. After graduating from the University of Iowa (BBA), Karen worked in the Executive Offices of Mobil Oil Company, New York, NY. She returned to the Midwest and joined General Mills, retiring after 32 years having worked in various departments, lastly as Supervisor of Management Stock Plans and Executive Compensation. In her retirement, she worked at Hedberg Interiors. Karen was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church of Golden Valley, the Woman's Club of Mpls, and West Suburban Woman's Club. She represented General Mills for 24 years in Executive Women International - MN Chapter (Past President, Regional Director). Karen was a founding member of General Mills of the Twin Cities Chapter of the National Association of Stock Plan Professionals. She is survived by her sister, brother- in-law, nephews and nieces. Funeral services will be held Monday, Aug. 5, at Calvary Lutheran Church, Golden Valley with visitation at 12:30 PM and service at 1:30 PM. Private interment Lakewood Cemetery. Memorials may be sent to Our Lady of Peace Hospice, St. Paul, MN, or to Animal Humane Society of Golden Valley, or to her church.
