Still thinking of you Norma

Just wanted you to know, you will not always hurt so much, all the time.
You will feel better.

Although you probably don't think so now, one day you will smile and laugh again. One day life will be good again.

I believe it was in the writings of Abe Lincoln where I read his reply to a friend
when he was asked how he was doing some time after the loss of his wife.

He answered something like this.

'Not a day goes by that she's not on my mind but the pain is no longer every minute of every day but more of a sweet sorrow.'

Take care of yourself.

Tom

PS. The sun will shine for you again.

Dear Kastl Family,

I know Steve from his visits to the Retro Roast Coffee Shop. I work there occasionally on Saturday mornings and recently lost my husband, Dave, to cancer. Steve usually gave me a hard time on his visists but had comforting words for me on my loss. I am so sorry for your loss. If you would like to talk to someone who has just been through it, please contact me. God Bless!

Sam,

I am so sorry to hear of your loss of Steve. Dave Hoberg sent a notice to all of us neighbors. May God give you courage as you face the days ahead. He was a big part of your life. Give yourself time to heal. Little by little you will be whole again. Love, Jean Eittreim

Uncle Steve will be so greatly missed. We can close our eyes and see his mustache curling as his grin grew wider. We will be praying the Lord will give added strength to Aunt Norma, Kristen, and Tony through these difficult times. Uncle Steve was a super, loving man and our hearts ache as we miss him so much.

Steve,

So many will miss you, can't believe you've left us. I will never forget our conversations about the meaning of life and I will never forget how much you cared about everyone around you. You were a rock for so many. I am trying so hard to make it back to Minnesota for your service, but you know I will be honoring you in any case. I'm sure you have found the peace you so deserve.

With love, Mary
