Nancy Kastl Obituary

She was born March 17, 1937 in Charleston, IL to Thomas Marion and Kate Emily Austin. She married Gerald D. "Jerry" Kastl in Charleston on October 5, 1957. He preceded her in death on May 26, 2018.
Surviving are four daughters, Elaine (Hank) Kaufmann, Diane (Brian) Briggs, Sharon (Mike) Mayo, Karen (Steve) Brubaker; nine grandchildren, Lynn Kaufmann, Mark (Shelby) Kaufmann, Lauren (Cody) Clayton, Justin Mayo, Meagan Mayo, Kaitlin (Mat) Sitler, Tyler (Kelli) Briggs, Ben (Kahla) Brubaker, and Lucas (Sarah) Brubaker; 15 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and her sister, Sheila Young.
Nancy worked at Sunnyland Bank for many years before retiring. After retirement, she enjoyed fishing in Wisconsin and wintering in Texas. She took great joy in her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandson.
A funeral service will be held at Noon on Friday, November 1, 2024 at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington. Visitation will be Friday from 11am to service time at the funeral home. Burial will be at Glendale Cemetery in Washington.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to donor's choice.
