Nancy was a generous, witty and insightful colleague who cared deeply about her research and instilling the highest level of scholarship in her many devoted students. She was a delight to be around and shared her views thoughtfully and graciously; she always welcome you at her threshold with a smile. Sh has left her mark on the School of Architecture, her friends and colleagues, and is sorely missed.

Nancy was a brilliant woman who had a wonderful dry sense of humor and a wry take on the world.

Nancy was a fantastic educator! I will never forget her intelligence, passion, and great sense of humor. Truly a blessing to those she encountered at the University of Minnesota School of Architecture and surly all else who had the fortune of knowing her. May God bless.

To the Miller family,
My thoughts and heart are with you right now. Nancy was my thesis advisor, my mentor, and my friend. I would not be where I am today - a very happy architecture history professor - without her. Her support, advice, and encouragement were critical. I love her dearly, and I hope your good memories can get you through this time of sorrow.

We are so sad for your loss. Nancy was an amazingly talented, intelligent and compassionate woman. Her words on Don's Caring Bridge meant so much to us in our time of crisis. We loved her wit on FaceBook and her tolerance of our silly cat stories. We enjoyed her visits to our shop where Don took such pleasure in discussing the history behind some of our more unusual finds with Nancy. She had such a wonderful appreciation and knowledge of history! She will be dearly missed :-(
