Bob, was a good man and will dearly be missed. He had a heart of gold and as big as Texas. To him a stranger was just someone he hadn't stuck up a conversation with yet. He enjoyed talking - to everyone and anyone. He was just MR Socializer! He enjoyed helping everyone out any way he could. If your lawn mower or snowblower broke down go see Bob, he'd get it up and running right away.
We had fun doing different outings before he got sick; he loved music and dancing, as most of his friends knew. Many a dance partners at the Federal christmas Parties. He loved going to the lake and having everyone come along too. More the merrier was his philosphy. He was so excited when he caught his "Big" fish last summer with Tom and Kim, had to show all his "Coffee Buddies" and everyone the pictures.
His love for kids showed with all the foster kids he took care of over the years, and he loved the dickens out of his 2 great grandkids, Morgan and Blair. He was one proud Great-Grampa!
I'll miss our evening phone calls, we'd talk every night, sometimes 10 minutes and sometimes an hour, unless he went to bed with the chickens, 'cause he got up before sun rise. Like any relationship we had our ups and downs, but more ups than downs, but I will deeply miss him. But I'm also, so glad that he is not suffering with all that pain he was in the last year or so.
Bob, I miss you and love you.

Dear Dad, I miss you alot! You are the best father that any girl could ever have! I know you are in good hands. You are up in heaven with everyone that has gone before you and now you are reunited with them. I know that you are having a wonderful time up there. You are no longer in pain and for that I am thankful. Your wishes were followed.
Love Always,
Sara

Please accept our sympathy in your loss. We knew Bob because of our daughter, Jamie Van Der Meer, and her husband, Paul and son, P.J. He was certainly a very good neighbor and they will miss him greatly. Bob and my husband, Richard, had a lot in common, since they both loved fixing things. Sincerely, Sharon and Richard Alton

Uncle Bobby! Always the jokester with a ready laugh. I remember still dancing a polka with Uncle Bobby at a wedding dance when I was a little girl...and being twirled into the band's drum set when Uncle Bobby's grip didn't hold. As a young woman living in the cities, I got a phone call from someone asking who I was. "Well who are you?" I replied, wondering who was on the other end of the line. "This is Bobby Goor. I always go through the phone book to see if there are any 'Goors' in there I don't know, and I saw 'K. Goor' and wondered which Goor it was." Laughing, I said, "Uncle Bobby - it's Kathleen, Kenny's daughter!" We had such a good laugh together over that. Any time I think of Uncle Bobby, it's always accompanied by laughter. All those Goor boys in heaven together now...I can imagine the mischief and the fun. God Bless you Uncle Bobby, and all the family and friends who will miss you. Love, Kathleen Goor
