Anderson, Harold J. Age 101, of Mpls., died March 5th 2011, in Dover NH from natural causes. Harold was born 1909 in Holdrege, Nebraska. He was a graduate of Central High School, Mpls. and attended Mpls. College of Law (now William Mitchell). Licensed to practice law in MN, and Federal Courts. Admitted to practice Law before the U.S. Supreme Court 1967. Harold practiced Law in MN for 64 years. Harold was President of the Aquatennial in 1954 and was active as a past Commodore. Harold was elected to the MN House of Representatives in 1954 and served 11 terms. Harold was Chairman of Tax and Judicial committees. He was active on Rules, Taxes, Education and General Administration authoring and passing many notable bills. A complete revision of Criminal code, amending Constitution of Judicial code, allowing sale of margarine in MN. Allowing condominiums in MN. He authored bills aiding public schools and legislation requiring Assessors to notify owners of proposed raise in valuations. Harold was an active former F.B.I. member, Aquatennial, Question Club, Mpls. Athletic Club and Elks Club. Harold was predeceased by lovely wife, Eleanor; daughter, Margaret Ann; brother, Judge Elmer R.; sisters, Priscilla, Pheobe, Ruth and Violet. Survived by sons, Gary T., Daniel R. and daughter, Mary Lynn; grandchildren, Danny and Kate. Harold was a wonderful husband and father who served his nation and community well. Funeral arrangements pending.

I'm so sorry to read about your dad.
My dad and Harold were the best of friends...Len Larson.
Our parents were a wonderful four-some. I grieve for all of them. What gifts they were. I tried to find your dad a few months ago....and couldn't. Your dad was such a dear man. I will miss his humor and kindness.
