Even though I was not there, I was with you in spirit. I prayed and lit a candle at 7pm for all my friends that knew Kevin and for Kris who had the gift of such a person in her life. I still can not believe that such a good spirit was taken from us so early. I am thankful that I got the opportunity to know such a good hearted person. Kevin's smile always made me feel good about myself. He was so kind and I am so sad that he is gone. But, we can take comfort in the fact that we all knew him and that he touched each and every one of us. Peace be with Kevin's family. I pray that you find peace.

Kevin and I were inseperable as kids... we played a lot of baseball! He was the pitcher, I the catcher. He had a hell of a fastball! A dare devil from as long as I can remember, he used to wear out his shoe using it as a brake since his bike didn't have any brakes. We had a lot of fun together, I'm glad I got to spend some time with him in Denver a while back. Kevin once told me he tried to treat everyone like they were a "movie star"... I always liked that bit of wisdom. RIP Kev.

Dear Sweet Kevin,
We had some big times with the gang on Elmo Road! Breaks my heart to hear you've moved on - you always did know how to make an exit...I had forgotten about the "drive thru" @ Eisenhower! I wish I had known where you were - I lived in St.Paul for a while. You left us too soon,
dear friend. You are missed more than you know. Love to all your family! Ronelle Mastro

Whenever I had the good fortune to run into Kevin somewhere, he always had the most sincere smile & a hug for me. I saw him last at the John Lennon Tribute. He spoke so proudly of his sons, over the blaring music that filled the room. His arm around my shoulder as he shouted in my ear. That's a fond memory to me. RIP Brother.

Kevin was a good friend to everyone he met. He never judged a person by the way they looked. He loved people--( jocks, freaks, nerds, convicts and MUSICIANS, it really didn't matter. He would strike a conversation with anyone. He had a passion for fast things, especially motorcycles (BMW'S).Everyone probably remembers when he road a motorcycle through the foyer at Eisenhower. Yes, he's a little crazy, but we love him. He loved his two sons and was so proud of them. When his sons were born he cherihed each day. MR. MOM.... We're going to miss you Kevin! I really wish it would not have come to this. Love you forever, your buddy Jonboy Sivanich

Despite the years and the miles, I miss him already. one of my favorite memories is when kevin rode his dirt bike down the main hall way at eisenhower, the last day of school 1976. i was the guy
running down the the hallway in platform shoes opening the doors for him.i remember the look on his face when he relized the handle bars wouldnt fit thru the door. he hit the brakes , turned the wheel side ways
and slid thru, i remember his laugh as he punhced it and drove off!
i have been looking for kevin for the last 8 years.
i wish i had the chance to talk to him one more time.
i will miss him, all my love to the family

The memories we have of Kevin are endless. From our daughter who immediately remembered the "Creep mouse, creep mouse, out of the barn into the house" and he would tickle her, to Bruce remembering when John Mason would take us all out on his boat and when we went under a certain bridge Kevin would jump up and grab onto the bridge and hang there until John would turn the boat around and come back and get him and we would all laugh.
One of the most sincere gentle souls I know.
Our heart goes out to the Foley family.

I enjoyed Kevin very much. He was the best man there was to speak with about just about any topic. A real gentleman, historian of music and adept bass player. He always had a smile and good things to say to everyone. You felt good about the prospects of your day after you spoke with him. This is a great loss to me, his family, and the people he knew. I am comforted only to know that he will be in heaven with another great Twin Cities bass player, Jimmy Blanton. Kevin you will be missed but keep your skills keen as you will be playing bass now at a higher level.
