To the family and friends of the late, great Mojo Buford;
I had the opportunity to jam with Mojo in the spring of '77 in Duluth, Mn.
After the gig, he told me I was the 'greenest' bass player he'd ever played with. However, he claimed I survived the 'fire of the blues', and cogratulated me for sticking with it throughout the entire jam. I will miss him greatly, and will carry that memory with me always. My prayers to his family.

Thank You! For introducing me to the Blues, I am most grateful.
It was a summer day back in the 60's and I was roaming the Nicollet/Lake area. Making my rounds and then I heard this sound, it went straight to my soul.
I looked around and across the street from the record store and outside the drug store was a guy blowing a harp. Street Corner Talkin' one of the older guys told me who U were. I was hooked, fan 4 life. Medina, Bel Rae it didn't matter where U played I always tried to make it. Was there for your last local show too. Thanks for the music and memories

To 'Mojo's' family..
I fondly remember some of the "West Bank's' bands of the 70's, and what that music scene did to shape my musical interests. Mojo Buford was a talent who fans and brother-musicians loved.
He inspired many local fans in the Twin cities by his talent,the obvious love of what he was doing(or playing), and his ability to perform with the greats.
I was saddened when I heard of his passing, but then realized he was reunited with the likes of Muddy, Stevie Ray,and countless others for what will be 'the jam session in Heaven'! My condolences to you all...
How, How, How.

Mojo Buford was a wonderfully talented musical member of the MN Music Scene. His contributions to that sound will long be remembered each time one of his songs is played on vinyl or electronic media.

His family will be consoled by the recognition and high regard that he earned during his music career, in addition to the many personal memories of this great man that they will recall.
