Matthew Schleis Obituary

Matthew E. Schleis Matthew Schleis died in an traffic accident on June 8, 2011. Matthew was born on May 4, 1991 in Claremont, California to John and Lori Schleis. For the past 5 years the Schleis family has lived in Cedar Park, Texas. Matthew graduated from high school last May whereupon he was offered a full time position as an electrician apprentice in a local electric company - his dream. Matthew was a daring and active young man who hiked, and off-roaded in his jeep. His contagious smile and upbeat personality made him friends easily. Matthew had a great respect for his country and enjoyed a short tenure at a military school. He took Aikido martial arts classes from an early age and valued its precepts of living in the moment, loving protection for all living things, and living life to its fullest. He is survived by his parents John D. Schleis II, Lori Schleis, and his sister, Erika Schleis; by his grandparents: Ronald Rubin and Susan Perry of Claremont, California; John D. Schleis of Jonestown, Texas and Kimberly Dorling Huffman of San Bernardino, California. Also he is survived by his Aunt Tammy Madden of San Bernardino, California, and his cousins: Kimberly, Ashley, and Joey. He survived by in uncle Joseph Schleis of Austin, Texas. Also he is survived by many friends especially Michael, Nicholas, Charlie, Jebus, Mark, Casey, Matt, Jake, and Sidney. Funeral services will be held at Beck Funeral Home, 1700 E FM1431 in Cedar Park, TX on Sunday, June 12, 2011. The service will begin at 4:20 p.m. (viewing 2:00 - 4:00 p.m.). John and Lori,
I am soo sorry for your loss. I cannot comprehend your pain but know that you are in my thoughts and PRAYERS. All of us that worked at WalMart with John here in Cedar Park are soo deeply sorry for your family.

Matthew was full of life. I met Matthew last year and had the privlege of working with him. I never seen him without a smile. He definately made an impression with me. He also had a great respect for his family and friends. He will be missed by many. May he rest in peace.
