Shirley Ann Meiske Kosh Shirley Ann Meiske Kosh, 73 was born on October 7, 1938 in Taylor Texas and was taken home after a long battle with cancer on Monday, October 10, 2011. Shirley was born to Edna and Edwin Meiske who both met her at Heaven's gate along with her brother Edward. Shirley lived her life dedicated to family, friends and serving those around her. She was an active member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Taylor. Shirley also enjoyed cooking, sewing, reading and playing bunco with her close friends. She was an avid Cowboy and Aggie football fan and enjoyed watching a good game. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Shirley is survived by her husband of 49 years, Julian Kosh. She is also survived by three children Keith, Kim and Kirk, daughters-in-law Anjel and Kelley, son-in-law James Combs. Five granddaughters, Katy Rose, Kelli Marie, Kennedi Christine, Keeley Ann and Kamryn Elizabeth. Two step-grandchildren Brandon Combs & Amanda Combs. She is also survived by a sister and brother-in-law Betty and Joe Patterson. Shirley was respected by many, loved by all, and she will be greatly missed, but not ever forgotten! The family would like to thank Dr. George and his staff at Texas Oncology, Yvonne with Accolade Homecare and Belinda with Odyssey Hospice for your compassion and care throughout this time. Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 13, at Beck Funeral Home, 4765 Priem Lane, from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. with a rosary following at 7:00 p.m. Funeral will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, October 14th, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 408 Washburn, Taylor, Texas. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Mary's Catholic School or the American Cancer Society.
