Michael Hello Obituary

Michael Hello On January 22, 2009, Michael Hello, age 56 passed away after a brief, courageous, battle with cancer. Our beloved Mike died peacefully, with his loving family by his side. Mike was born in Austin, Texas on March 4, 1952, to Lee and Anna Mae Hello. He was raised in Austin, and attended Holy Cross High School and McCallum High School. At the age of sixteen, Mike began working for his father in the family business, Capitol Amusement Company. After his father's retirement, Mike continued to operate the business with his brothers, Chris and Joseph, and son, Andrew. Mike led the company for 38 years with the same honesty and integrity taught to him by his father. Capitol Amusement will celebrate 50 years in April of this year. Mike was past president and an active member of Amusement Music Operators of Texas, where he earned the respect and friendship of many of his colleagues in the amusement business. He was raised in a large, loving family, now heartbroken by his absence. He was always there to guide us through life's struggles, celebrate accomplishments, and stand as a role model of brother, husband, father, uncle, and grandfather. His warmth, humor, generous heart, and love of life and family, will forever be with us. We will continue to see you, Mike in the smiling eyes of your children and grandchildren. We will think of you on every fishing trip, at every holiday feast of Lebanese food, and each time we hear a Tony Bennett song. May God keep you in his eternal grace and love. Mike is survived by his loving wife, Cindy, with whom he celebrated 38 years of marriage in December; daughter, Amy Edelmon and husband Donny of Hutto; son, Andrew Hello and wife Cassie of Austin; daughter, Elizabeth Hello of Austin; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was "Poppy" to his adoring grandchildren, Jay, Avery, Haley, Madeline and a granddaughter to come in April. He was preceded in death by his father Lee Hello, Sr., and sister-in-law Susie Hello. Mike is survived by his mother, Anna Mae Hello of Pflugerville; brothers, Lee Hello, Jr. of Pflugerville, Gary Hello and wife Cindy of Austin, Chris Hello and wife Julie of Pflugerville, Joseph Hello and wife Marcy of Leander, Robert Hello of Pflugerville; and sisters, Marlene Hello of Pflugerville, Linda Hello of Pflugerville, and Regina Arnold of Austin. The family would like to give special thanks to Drs. Thomas Brown and Matma Kalidas of St. David's Hospital, the doctors and staff of MD Anderson, the Austin Diagnostic Center Infusion Room staff and Hospice Austin for their attentive and compassionate care. The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 25, 2009 from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. in the Colonial Chapel of Cook-Walden Funeral Home. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, January 26, 2009 at 2:00 p.m., St. Mary Cathedral, officiated by Father George Joseph. Interment will follow at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Cemetery in Pflugerville, TX. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice Austin; www.hospiceaustin.org or 4107 Spicewood Springs Road, Ste. 100, Austin, TX 78759, (512) 342-4700.

Dear Family, I have learned over the past few years that life is too short and every day needs to be lived to the fullest, to tell the people you love that you love them. Too many people that I have loved I have lost.
I regret not knowing Michael or any of you very well and that's a real tradgedy. So please know that I love you all and wish peace for each of you during this sad time.

Having been customers of Michael for only three years, I didn't know Michael as well as others. I would, however, like to say that he and his company have been wonderful to work with and I found Michael to be one of the most honorable people I've had the pleasure to know. He will be missed. My thoughts are with his family and friends.

Dear Cindy and family, I am so sorry for your loss. Mike was a wonderful man, a very loving husband, and a caring friend. Cindy I was thinking the other day, that I have never known a man to love a woman more than Mike loves you. I am going to miss him, I pray that you will find peace and comfort in knowing that he is out of pain, and in heaven watching over you. His love for you lives on in the memories you hold in your heart. God Bless.
