Family-Placed Obituary

M.T. Bradshaw, age 93, of Austin, Texas, passed away on Saturday, February 28, 2004. M.T. was born in Austin, Texas, on February 27, 1911, to Annie Belle McAngus and George C. Bradshaw. M.T. graduated from Austin High School in the Class of 1930. He later married Frances Lee Cotton on November 24, 1937. He served as a Sergeant in the U.S. Army during WWII (from 1941) and was stationed at Bergstrom Air Force Base. He received an Honorable Discharge in 1945. M.T. began a long and distinguished career with Gulf Oil Corporation, from which he retired in 1973. His volunteer work included 20 fulfilling years with the South Austin Hospital from 1982 through 2002. He received the Volunteer Of The Year Award for several years for his distinguished service and commitment to South Austin Hospital. M.T. is preceded in death by his parents, Annie Belle and George C. Bradshaw; one sister, Jane; two brothers, Edward and Clifford Bradshaw; and one granddaughter, Vanessa Bradshaw. He is survived by his wife, Frances Lee Bradshaw; son, Michael Bradshaw and wife, Pat of Boulder, Colorado; daughters, Barbara Bostick and husband, George; Annabel Linscomb and husband, David; son, Jack Bradshaw and wife, Maryann, all of Austin, Texas; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; cousins, nieces, nephews and many, many friends. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., on Tuesday, March 2, 2004, at Cook- Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home, where funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 3, 2004, at 10:00 a.m. Entombment will follow after the service at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Memorial Park Mausoleum. If you wish, you may make contributions to your favorite charity in M.T.'s name. Honorary pallbearers are his grandsons: Chris Bradshaw, Steven Bradshaw, Collin Linscomb; granddaughters: Belinda Bostick, Jessica Bostick, Jordan Linscomb, Melissa Rotolo; nephews: George Bradshaw, Travis Boring, Jim Boring, Dale Boring; nieces: Rebecca McKay (whom he regarded as his third daughter), and Susan Bradshaw.
