Paul Gibb Obituary

Paul David Gibb, Sr. Paul David Gibb, Sr., moved from Austin, Texas to become a new Citizen of Heaven on December 20, 2005. He was a hero to many people. Those who knew Paul knew he was a down-to-earth, straight-forward man of integrity and his handshake was his bond. At times he seemed a little gruff, but there was never a time that he would not go to his knees in prayer for a child, friend, or stranger. His four grandchildren ask, "Why did Pappy die?" We tell them because Pappy is a mighty horseman warrior that Jesus is calling to go into battle to fight evil for good. This we all believe. Paul was married to Joyce Gibb for 45 year - his "forever-in-love-baby". They have one son, Paul Gibb, II (PJ), Kellie his wife, and their four children, Jacob and Ryan age six and Sammi and Erin age nine. They were so precious to him. One of our friends told us Paul had outgrown his wallet and we needed to get him a purse for all his grandchildren's pictures. Paul was so fortunate to have two sisters and four brothers. Needless to say, many nieces and nephews, and tons of relatives, and I am sure he is walking and talking with Jesus about a heavenly community for the Gibb family. Paul has always been "different". He was the first male to graduate from an all Catholic girl's university. You can be sure the Sisters at Our Lady of the Lake University kept a close eye on this Air Force Senior Master Sergeant. Sweetheart, you opened the door for many young men to enter an outstanding university. After 22 years in the Air Force, Paul and his family "retired" in Austin to start their own business. He loved and appreciated each customer. If Paul had one word of advice to anyone it would be: "Don't wait to learn the Bible Map" to heaven. It is the best place to plan a trip. Do it today...get to know Jesus and love Him; He is the best friend you will ever have. Be good and love and be faithful to your wife and you can have the joy of having a "forever-in-love-baby". Support, love, honor, and do what you can to keep American free. Until, we meet again, Many Blessings to you and to your loved one and keep mine in prayer, too. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, December 23, 2005 in the Chapel of Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home in Austin. Interment will follow at Onion Creek Memorial Park.
