It is hard to express the sense of loss we all feel. Another part of our lives is gone forever. An important part. Gone, but not forgotten. Diana will always live inside all of us, until the day we meet again on the other side.
Our prayers have been answered. Lord, help us understand. It wasn't the answer we were hoping for.....My heart goes out to both of you..Shelby and J.W.

JW & Shelby -

I was saddened to hear of your loss. Diana and I grew up together at Capstone and I always saw her as one of those big Texas women. She was Big Hearted and had a Big Laugh. She was special and made those around her feel special as well. She loved you both dearly and spoke of you often. I will always remember her joy in life and her laugh.

I met Diana when I was only 8 years old and she was more like family to me then just a friend. She was the most positive and vibriant light of a person. She will be missed and forever loved by every person she touched! I know that she will be with Shelby and JW as they slowly move on through their lives. We were blessed for each day with Diana in our lives!

JW & Shelby,
I work @ TXOncology and felt a very close connection with Diana. Perhaps it was the name that we had in common or just her wit and courage, but seeing her @ the premiere of Twilight with Shelby was probably the kicker. She was so young @ heart, brave and strong!!! I was deeply sorry to hear of her passing. God bless you all in this time of loss.

JW and Shelby

My heart goes out to both of you. Diana touched our hearts and our souls and there will forever be a hole that can never be filled by another as she was truly one of a kind.

Diana was the true meaning of Grace, she always demonstrated it regardless of the circumstances she was dealing with at the time. She was an example to all that knew her. Diana was always so full of life and that's how I will always remember her. I'm thankful and blessed to have known her.

I will treasure the friend I had in her and the true inspiration that she was to us all.

My prayers are with you.

JW and Shelby: I was so sorry to hear of the untimely passing of Diana after her courageous battle. I enjoyed working with her for many years at Capstone and appreciated her support and friendship. She also was a mentor for my daughter while she worked briefly with Capstone while attending UT. Jenny appreciated her help and guidance. Our prayers are with you in your time of sorrow but your joyous memories will last a lifetime. God bless you both.

Diana was an intricate part of Capstone since I began my employment there over 10 years ago. She had a quick tongue for witty comments. She passed by my office one day and rattled off a list of descriptive words that included, "tofu-eating". It still makes me laugh to think of that. She was a bit of rascal, although now I can't come up with one example of why I think so. I guess she just commonly pushed the boundaries. She asked why instead of just accepting what she was told. She found loopholes. That was good training for me.

Diana had a generous nature. Each Valentine's day she gave out La Madaline linzer cookies-- those big heart-shaped delicious ones. She personally handed them out to every single Corporate employee and probably on-site employees, too. Incredible.

I don't remember Diana without a smile. I'm going to miss that smile each time I walk down the halls at Capstone.

JW and Shelby,

I worked with Diana at Capstone. She amazed me with her positive attitude and her determination that she wouldn't let treatment rule her life. She was a powerhouse I admired. She used to tease me that I "talked like a computer." She gave me a survivor bracelet that fellow survivor Robin L. made and that gift has been deeply treasured. I am so sad to hear of her departure from this life. My heart goes out to you both.
