Gloria Statler Obituary

Gloria Gay Hughes Statler Gloria was born in Olean, New York to Daniel and Christine Hughes on June 5, 1943. She died peacefully at her home on October 9, 2011. She is survived by her husband Gilbert Morgan; children, Mark Statler and wife Pat, Jerry Enix and wife Maria, Kristina Hayes and husband Warren; grandchildren, Kristinn Hayes, Jessica Hayes, Allison Enix, Jerry Enix, Lyndsey Enix, Jenna Enix, Johnathon Statler; great grandchildren, Brendon Abbott, Kelsey Abbott, Emma; brother, Daniel and wife Lorna Hughes of Limestone, NY and numerous nieces and nephews. A resident of Austin, Texas for 30+ years. She loved Texas and when ask where she was from she would say "NY but I got here as quick as I could". Gloria was an incredible mother, wife and friend. She loved life to the fullest and always had something kind to say or some wisdom to share with her own family and those she adopted over the years. She loved camping, horses, Harleys and the water. She could not swim but loved to go fishing on Toledo Bend Lake. She always made you smile, would listen to your stories, laugh with you and cry with you. She was "OUR" best friend. We love and miss you Grammy, Mom, and Honey! It will be held at County Line Ice House located at 5532 Hwy 71 E., Del Valle, TX 78617. We will be sharing memories and photographs. Please bring a dish of your choice.
