Steven Weber Obituary

Steven Harry Weber Steven Harry Weber of Liberty Hill, Texas passed away in the early morning hours of August 27, 2007 in the arms of his broken-hearted wife Susan. He was born October 5, 1949 in Houston, Texas. He married Susan Ann Alves on December 1, 1979 in New Braunfels, Texas. He worked for Southwestern Bell for 30 years until his health forced him to retire. He was an amazing survivor of illness overcoming a tremendous amount of health problems in his last year of life. Despite his many health problems he had an incredible sense of humor even into his final hours. Steven was an avid music fan enjoying all kinds of music, including guitar playing. He had many interests including saltwater fishing, UT Longhorns and being with his family. He was known as Uncle Big Pete in the family. He was preceded in death by his parents Harry and Patsy Weber. He is survived by his devoted wife, best friend and soulmate, Susan; and an enormous loving family of 14 brothers and sisters, Cynthia Lawson, Diane (Murry) Yates, JD (Vicky) Weber, Mary (Bob) Poarch, Luke (Petra) Weber, Cecelia (Gary) Maynor, Patty Bing, Robert (Virginia) Weber, John (Laura) Weber, Beth (Dave) Johnson, Margaret (Mark) East, Lucian Weber, Jaqueline (Kevin) Lanier, Patrick (Katrina) Weber; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He is also survived by his mother-in-law, Frieda Alves; and brother-in-law, William (Kathy) Alves; and nephew, Anthony Alves. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 30, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Frydek, Texas with interment following at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery with a family priest Father Carl Tenhunfeld officiating. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 29, 2007 at St. Mary's Church. Pallbearers will be Steven's nephews, Anthony Alves, Gary Maynor, Jr., Murry Yates, Michael Yates, Ricky Lawson, Luke Johnson, Ben Johnson and Brian Weber. Honorary pallbearers will be Mark Yates and Nathan Weber. Altar servers will be Jeff Weber and Douglas Weber. Steven was much loved by all and will be greatly missed. For those desiring, contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice or the Polycystic Kidney Foundation. The family would like to thank all the doctors involved in Steven's care especially Dr. Barry Kahan who performed Steven's kidney transplant 30 years ago and let him lead an incredible long and happy life.

I was very sorry to hear of Steve's passing. He was a classmate of mine
at Mt. Carmel HS in Houston. I learned of his passing from another
classmate. I will remember him in my prayers. My condolences to all of

I first met Steve in 8th gr and then high school at Mt Carmel with some of his siblings and cousins. I always remember him smiling and joking and will continue with that memory. I am so sorry for your loss.
