Marvin Benner Obituary
Marvin Benner Marvin Benner, 78, passed away on Tuesday, October 3, 2006 in Georgetown, Texas. He was a former resident of Austin and lifelong member of Salem Lutheran Church. Marvin enjoyed participating with the Shirts & Skirts Dance Club in Georgetown. He proudly served as past president of the Del Valle School Board before retiring as a rancher. Marvin is survived by his wife of 57 years, Marjorie Benner of Georgetown, TX; daughter, Beverly McMillan and husband, Gary of Liberty Hill, TX; son, Carroll Benner of Florence, TX; grandsons, Travis Benner of Florence, TX; Robert Benner of Norfolk, VA; Russell Benner of Florence, TX; and Alex Hoeninghaus of Burleson, TX; granddaughter, Elisabeth Hoeninghaus of Arlington, TX; Bekka Matejka of Florence, TX; and sister, Willie Mae Gest of Austin, TX. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 5, 2006. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 6, 2006 at Salem Lutheran Church, 9322 FM 812, Austin, TX. Interment will follow at Salem Lutheran Church Cemetery. For those desiring, memorial contributions may be made to Salem Lutheran Church or to a charity of your choice.
