SALEM -Survived by parents; Shawn Lott, Beverly Sommer, Elmer "Buzz" Sawyer, Darren Hendren, Debbie Hendren; sisters, McKenna Herber, Sarah (Von) Leskovisek, Shannon (Phil) Sommer Tang, Arika Hendren, Sarah Gilstrap; brother Colby Lyday and many other loving family and friends.
John's passions were building and racing cars and his "many" family and friends. Memorials may be made in John's name to City View Funeral Home to defray final expenses.
Viewing will be from 2 to 4 pm on Thursday, Nov. 3 and Funeral service will begin 4 pm at City View Funeral Home. Burial will be in Prairie Rest Cemetery in Delavan, Illinois

I only knew John for a short time.when I met him it was on I-5 when I towed his beautiful camero home,we had an awesome talk about his car and his passion for it too.He was and is the coolest person I know.my heart goes out to his family and friends. He is now in heaven and I bet God gave him a race car to drive all over heaven.wish I could have gotten to know you better John.R I P

John was a great friend, I still haven't come to reality that he is gone. Showed me so much throughout the years, I just wish i could've said goodbye. ~Stay strong and come together when those close need you the most.

John was a great kid when he lived in LeRoy. He was always pleasant and was one heck of a hard hitter on the football field! My deepest sympathies to his family.

John, you were surrounded by love, loyalty, trust and honor. This will carry on for years to come. You and your family are loved so much.
