Lucille Williams STATESVILLE Mrs. Anna Lucille Brandon Williams, 72, of 1102 Stokes Street, died at her home on Sunday morning, July 10, 2011, following an extended illness. She was born in Union County, S.C. on March 12, 1940, and was the daughter of the late Vinnie and Lunette Bryant Brandon. She was married to John Wesley Williams, Sr., who survives. She was a graduate of RA Clement High School and was a member of Logan Presbyterian Church. In addition to her husband, she is survived by three children, Juanita (Anthony) Sherrill and Joseph (Stephanie) Williams, both of Statesville and John W. Williams, Jr. of the home; one sister, Thelma Caldwell of Statesville; eight grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Celebration of life services will be conducted Thursday, July 14, at 2 p.m. at Logan Presbyterian Church, USA, 209 Logan-New Amity Rd., Scotts, NC. The Rev. Dr. Samuel Stevenson is Interim Pastor. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery. Mrs. Williams will remain at Rutledge and Bigham Funeral Home until taken to the church to lie in state at 1 p.m. Members of the family will receive friends at the church from 1:30 to 2 p.m., but will assemble at the residence at other times.
