Pa'mela Pezewski Obituary

Pezewski, Pa'mela

Pa'mela L. Pezewski, age 59, of Amherst, WI passed away on Sunday May 8th, 2016, surrounded by family after a valiant fight against pancreatic cancer. She was born in Erie, PA on June 2nd, 1956, a daughter of Janet (Zehfuss) LeHane and the late Louis LeHane.

Pa'mela married the late Gary L. Pezewski on September 25, 1976, in La Crosse, Wisconsin. In February 1980, they moved into the home they built together in Amherst, Wisconsin. It was here that they raised their son, Nathan (Pa'mela's favorite person), and created many wonderful memories with friends and family. Pa'mela worked at Sentry Insurance for 31 years in National Accounts as a Claims Specialist. From working with clients to co-workers, Pa'mela loved her career and took great pride in her work, as she was truly a self-made success.

Pa'mela was the most incredible woman and lived a life without regret, forever accepting of the present, and positively optimistic about the future. Anyone who ever met Pa'mela knew that they were in the presence of a great person. An amazing spirit of care, generosity, positivity, and warmth - she was truly one of a kind. Friends and family, or "framily" as we call it, were very important to her. She loved spending time with them, whether that meant going on a trip or just laughing and enjoying a glass of wine together.

The lights of her life were her three Granddaughters - Casey, Abigail and Avery. Every year she would have a week at "Camp Grandmama's" and they would do endless arts and crafts, watch movies together, and go shopping (of course). She loved watching them play soccer and even began to understand the game! She often remarked that she couldn't have auditioned for more perfection in Granddaughters. She loved them so.

Survivors include her Son and Daughter-in-Law: Nathan & Heather Pezewski of Stevens Point, WI; Granddaughters: Casey Jahn of Madison, WI, Abigail and Avery Pezewski of Stevens Point, WI; Mother Janet (Zehfuss) LeHane of Leesburg, VA; Twin Sister Kim (Dan) Rohr of Northfield, MN, Sister Lorie (Bryan)McKay of Berryville, VA and Sister Leslie (Nigel) Stamp of Middleton, WI; Nieces Danielle (Sean) Sobel of Cleveland, OH, Sarah Rawlings of Winchester, VA, Olivia Stamp of Florence, KY, Emma Stamp of San Diego, CA, Taylor Stamp of Brooklyn, WI; Nephews Louis (Devin Henry) Rohr of St. Paul, MN and Lucas "Gus" Rohr of Northfield, MN. She is also survived by her dogs Max & Jones and Grand-dogs Jack and Turner. Pa'mela was preceded in death by her father Louis LeHane and husband Gary L. Pezewski.

A Memorial Visitation will be held at the Jungers-Holly Funeral Home in Amherst from 1-4pm on Saturday, May 21st, 2016. A gathering at Lake Emily Park West Lodge will follow at 5pm for those that wish to join in a Celebration of Pa'mela's Life. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that a donation be made to Ministry Hospice Home Care, Stevens Point location, for their excellent care of Pa'mela during her illness. In Pa'mela's honor, please consider wearing purple to the Visitation and/or Celebration.

The family of Pa'mela Pezewski would like to express gratitude to Marshfield Clinic Oncology Department Stevens Point, Ministry Hospice Home Care, and "Network of Angels" within Pa'mela's family and friends for the care, dignity, strength, and comfort you provided throughout her journey.

Pezewski Family,

Your mom was one of the kindest most generous person that I ever met. I work with her through Sentry and it was an absolute pleasure to have known her. The world is a better place for her having been in it.

I knew Pam through work. We shared many complicated issues. The one outstanding emotion that I took away from her partnership was awe and relief at how positive she could make any situation. If a measure of our life is how we affected others, I can testify that she made a huge difference in mine.
