Heege, Mona Carolyn, R.N. (nee Miller) Died July 17, 2013, born May 26, 1932 in Danville, IL. Daughter of the late Clayton and Anne Donovan Miller. Surviving sister Patricia Miller Colvin, Sarasota, FL, brother Martin (Ruth) Miller, Oxford, OH and sister Sue Miller Bell (Ron), San Francisco, CA. Graduated from Lake View Memorial Hospital School of Nursing. Married George F. Heege III August 18, 1956. Their children Karen Victoria Heege, Des Moines, IA, George F. Heege IV, St. Louis, MO, Sarah Anne Heege, St. Louis, MO, Clare Katherine Paxton, Silex, MO, Theodore Ted (Shelia) Heege, St. Louis MO and Anne Elizabeth Heege of St. Louis, MO. Survived by grandson Justin Phillip Branson and granddaughter Elizabeth Carolyn Branson and great granddaughter Chloe Elizabeth. Sister-in-law, aunt, cousin and friend to many, after being a stay at home mother and working at Gourmet to Go (Clayton location) for 23 years. She and her late husband were among the charter members of the Kirkwood Historical Society. She was also a member of the Webster Groves Chapter DAR and the Old Trails Historical Society in Manchester, MO. Her many hobbies and activities included: fly fishing and floating with her husband and family, the weddings and grand parties at Boxwood on Carmen Road, and enjoying the rustic setting of the lake and cabin near Potosi, MO. Services: Memorial Gathering will be Saturday, July 20, from 1-4pm at Bopp Chapel, 10610 Manchester Rd., in Kirkwood. Donations in lieu of flowers to Lake View Memorial Hospital School of Nursing Alumni (Danville, IL), the Kirkwood Historical Society or charity of your choice. She donated her body to the Saint Louis University School of Medicine on behalf of the advancement of medical knowledge.
